Brilliant commentary, Gary, and I'm with you all the way on this. However, surely you're aware that our opinion on her recent foray (as shown on this video) is far from universal throughout Ukulele Cyberspace. I believe it's an opinion not shared by all the bloggers on this site, for that matter.
There's a video revealing the long-hidden history of the ukulele, Gary, and perhaps you've seen it. A Bushman Contest (ugh) entry, it presents us with the original score of Papa Bach's Toccata & Fugue in D minor, and we can see quite clearly that it is scored for GCEA-tuned ukulele.
Taimane joins the original instruments movement and presents the piece (or a piece of the piece) as originally intended by J.S. himself. Toss in some nifty improv, as all good baroquers did and still do, and we can be certain that the gods, ukulele and otherwise, are well pleased.

Just watched her newest, Gary -
La Petite Fille de la Mer.
Jellyfish + lovely playing, check it out.
She's good but her playing is too much for me.
Ron, Thanks for pointing me to that historical video. Um, I think. Weird.
She plays amazing for having to suffer with what must be carpal tunnel syndrome...... Ukester Brown
