Let's all pray? Come on. This is like saying we should pray for Jimmy Buffet because of "Margaritaville" or Bobby McFerrin because of "Don't Worry Be Happy."
It's impossible to underestimate the mediocre musical taste of the western masses. If they choose to ignore the music of a whole culture and a performer because they choose to focus on a single hit, then welcome to reality. I didn't see the western world beat a wide path to South Africa and Ladysmith Black Mambazo's music after Paul Simon's Graceland album. People really into music and open to other world cultures will explore the music and its artists further, and those not so inclined won't. It has been and will be ever thus.
