I guess there's a history here that I haven't seen? ... I don't see what's special going on here.
Are they "playing" ukuleles? None of them can sing. Somebody's out of tune. Sorry, had to be brutally honest. I guess there's something sentimental about this.

Dear Anonymous: Robert Wheeler has one of the most impressive ukulele collections in the U.S. and takes a small selection to Craig R's house weekly for inspection, noodling around and rumination in the spirit of ukulele consciousness. Read back issues and Robert's blog for more info on the charming Robert Wheeler.
Nobody is there to perform, nobody is there to impress. It's just friends getting together talking uke over beer. This is one of the first videos we've been privvy to see of one of these get-togethers, and it's nice to do so. Many of us have similar functions, not necessarily with such stellar and accomplished folks, but fun nonetheless. I hope you can appreciate it a little better now.
Nina. I feel you are too kind to want “anonymous” to “appreciate it a little better”. I’m always amazed when stooges go rude over 4 strings and a 3 minute song. What in the hell is “brutally honest”? It’s hard to be “brutal”, and there is no requirement to be “honest”, when tapping on a keyboard in your lonely room, in your underwear, bathed in the pale light from your CRT. Comments from an individual (I’m assuming anonymous is not an organized group) who remarks about things, “that I haven't seen” and “don't see” is not that interesting. Sounds like some one who enters a room and has to make noise, hoping that his nose bleed will stop. As for “Somebody's out of tune.” That would be me. But as anonymous is not the “Tuning Police” (my wife fulfills that role in my life) and there is nothing in any legal system that requires any one to strum their ukes in tune, being brutally honest, when you, whom ever you are, chose to listen, we will assume that your pithy remarks are valueless. robert wheeler – founder – Stay Conscious
